Christmas Mantle 2012

Hello Dolls :):):) I hope all of you are having a fabulous holiday season :) I know I'm late posting but I haven't been able to find my camera so I had to take these using my phone so sorry about the quality of pics and I guess it's better late than never :):):) This holiday season has just about ran me over... I feel like I haven't had time to do half of what I wanted & planned to do this season but I did succeed in getting somethings done.  Anyways, here is my make-shift mantle for this year & I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking :)

Well, there you have it!!! :)  In our den/tv room I went with a leopard & fleur de lis theme (of course) using black & gold.  I didn't do a whole lot but I did make my garland & I tried to get some up close pics to show you what i did.  I also did 2 tree's that I will be posting about this week even though Christmas may be almost over I keep my decor up until after the new year :)  I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas to you and your families :):):) Until next time, Stacey xoxo

New Finds...

Hello!!!!....:) I know I should be doing posts showing off my Christmas decor but I'm really excited to show you what I found this past weekend while out Christmas shopping with family.  We went to the outlet mall at the Lake of the Ozarks which is kind of a resort town about an hour away from where I live :)  On our way out of town we always stop at the Marshall's Home Good's store there... we have a Marshall's where I live but it isn't a home goods.  Well, when we pulled up to Marshall's Home Good's guess what I was thrilled to see??? (wait for it)......................... a Ross's Store!!!!!!! :):):)  I was so happy to have one closer to me... usually, I have to drive a couple of hours away to go to one :(  AND, to top this off they have been putting up a couple buildings around town & I swear one looks like it could be a Ross (fingers crossed).  Of course, I bought a bunch of stuff but what I wanted to show you is what I was most excited about....

I found these on an end cap & was so happy because they will match a shower curtain & towel set I bought a few months ago & the best part of course is the price....they were all $2.99 each on clearance!!! Can't hardly beat that :):):)  I have been busy decorating for Christmas even though it is un-seasonably warm here in Mid- Mo right now... It's really throwing me off my Christmas decorating game (lol) but, I have done 2 tree's & have been working on finishing up a couple other projects that I'll be posting about soon :):):) Thanks for stopping by... Hi, dolls :):):) Just thought I'd give you a quick update on what I decided as far as my decor this year.  I did axe the red & green although I did love it, I just didn't LOVE it... But, I did decide to use some of what I had from last year which involved animal print (of, course) & i have added to it.. I'm doing 2 tree's for sure for each living room & here's a pic or 2 that gives you an idea of what I will have going on in the front room... (sorry about picture quality I took these with my phone) but you will get the idea :):):)

I will post pics of the tree in all it's fabulous brown zebra print glory soon... I LOVE it!!! I'm still tweaking it of course & working on the rest of my decor & other tree.  Until next time & have a great weekend:):):), Stacey xoxo

It's Beginning to look alot like...

Hello Everyone!!! :):):)  I'm sure by now most of you have your Christmas decor up :):):) & It was beginning to look alot like Christmas here well, at least until I decided I didn't love the theme I was going with... I tried to think outside of the box this year & do more traditional colors of Christmas since I just adore anyone else's decor that follows that motive but I just couldn't make myself love it in my own home so I took every thing down (luckily I only had 1 tree up before I vetoed it) & needless to say I will be back at Hobby Lobby tomorrow since they aren't open on Sunday's :( & back to the drawing board... I plan to use some of the decor I had from last year but add to it :) Since, I'm posting I thought I'd show you what I had going on... I am sad it didn't turn out the way I hoped though :(:(:(

Since, I love animal print I thought it would be really cute to do red & green with leopard Christmas decor... I thought it would be really fun & whimsy :):):) I had everything you can imagine to make this all happen, too.  I feel like I have decorator's regret... It prob didn't help that I had to switch my tree's around since I got new furniture this summer so that was already a big change that I wasn't thrilled with :(  Well, anyways as I'm posting this I'm looking at the picture thinking gosh what is wrong with me that really is too cute... Happy Thanksgiving!!! :)

 

 

I hope everyone had a fabulous day!!! :) I've been busy preparing & cooking for the past 2 days... & I must say all my hard work paid off because our thanksgiving dinner was one of the best yet :):):)  I made turkey & all the trimmings but I have to say my favorite recipe I made this year was my pumpkin cheesecake... It was SO good- I might have to share the recipe :)  I've had a pretty good day even with all the work ;) I even got to do some Black Friday shopping this evening & I got what I set out for which was a BIG plus :)  Well, now that Thanksgiving is over it is now on to "The most Wonderful time of the year".  I finally decided on my theme for this year's decor & I LOVE it so much that I just might keep it & add to it for a few years... I can't wait to get started- now that Thanksgiving has came it's fair game around here :):):) I will have a certain someone busy around here putting lights up & etc.  Well, I better close for now since I have to work tomorrow :( But, hey someones gotta help pay for all the holiday decorations I've been bust buying ;) LOL.  Until next time xoxo, Stacey 

Fall Entry Table

Hello!!! Hope you guys are all having a great weekend :)... mine hasn't been too bad even though I did work today :( But, as soon as I got off I headed to Micheal's & Hobby Lobby & started buying some Christmas decor :):):) Today's post is all about my fall entry table... I don't exactly have a foyer but I did manage to work me in a entry/console table... I just adore this table set- I got it at Lowe's on clearance for like $50.00 including the lamps like 2 years ago & it has served me well :):):)  It is the first thing you see when you enter my front/formal room & I LOVE it!!! This year I decided to use a metal candle holder that I had & I used some fall leave garland & fall picks & worked them into it securing it with ties... I used some brown candles that I had but I also have been using some pumpkin spice jar candles that I actually burn to give it a pretty ambiance & I put a couple pumpkins on each end to sprawl it out even more.  Well here it is... :):):)

 

I think it turned out pretty good :):):) Can you believe Thanksgiving is a just in a few days??? Time sure does fly by... I just love this time of year when the holidays start... I've already been listening to christmas music for like 2 weeks already & have started watching christmas movies :):):) Well that's all for now.  Until next time...xoxo Stacey

Fall Front door Decor :)

Hello Dolls !!! :) Today, I thought I'd share my fall front door decor with you before it's too late (lol).  I really didn't do much this year but I did make a FABULOUS wreath for my front door & I put a few pumpkins out :):):) I made my wreath out of a twig wreath I bought at Micheal's, some fall picks, & of course leopard ribbon :):):)

 

 

I hope you like my wreath :):):) I will get caught up & do a couple more fall post & then it will be on to CHRISTMAS!!! I know alot of you have already started & I have been drooling over all your FAB decor that you have done so far :):):) I can't wait to start mine... I'm still deciding on my color scheme which is ok because around here I'm not allowed to start putting Christmas decor up until Thanksgiving... SORRY, I've been M.I.A lately... Life has been super busy & time sure does get away from me.  I really didn't mean to go so long without posting... Well, September is finally here & it is the start of my favorite time of year... FALL!!!:)  I have always loved this time of year... There's just something about the weather cooling down, the tree's & leaves turning beautiful colors, the smells & all the other fabulous things that fall brings.  Today I'd like to show you some of my most favorite things about fall...

Let me introduce you to my newest addiction... I discovered this last year... If you love the pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks you will love this stuff & the price too... I, also love the vanilla caramel latte they make :):):)

There's nothing better than a nice warm fire blazing in the fire pit in my very own backyard on a nice cool fall evening:)

& of course tailgating & supporting the Missouri Tigers football team... GO MIZZOU!!!

Side Table Dilemma...

Hello, Dollfaces :) :)  I've been busy redecorating many rooms in my home & I think I'm making myself go crazy with everything going on & I seem to be going in circles & can't stay focused on one room long enough to get it done... This is what happens when you have compulsive decorators disorder (lol).  No, but seriously I do have many projects going on at once right now & just not enough time in my days to get as much done as I would like too.  Slowly but surely I'm getting there :):):)  Today I want to show you guys my side table dilemma... I recently changed furniture in our TV room/den to make it a lil more comfy wise for the man of the house & to open the room up a lil bit more... I went from a sofa, love seat, & club chair to a sofa & his/hers recliners.  I'm still trying to get use to the new stuff & placement but the recliners are SO cozy:):):)  The sofa is on one wall & the recliners are directly across but angled in towards each other a lil bit.  After I figured out furniture placement I decided I needed a table of some sort or something between the recliners so I went out shopping & ended up trying out 4 different pieces before finally settling for one of them.  So, here they are...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first 3 tables all came from Hobby Lobby, the last table I ordered online from Home Depot.  I decided on the leopard table which is the last one... What do you think???  Honestly, I thought it was going to be a lil bigger than it was but I liked it the most out of these.  I'm still working on dressing it up & haven't got it just right yet but this table will have to work for now... It smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G in here...:):):)

Hey Dolls!!!  I hope you all are doing fabulous :):):) Just thought I'd do a quick post today to let you in on what I came across while at Wally world... I know everyone already knows about the better homes & gardens electric warmers & scented wax cubes but I just thought I'd share that they have released some new fall scents so that you can look out for them in your local stores.  I buy this brand ALOT & these new scents are simply AMAZING!!! But, when it comes to scented wax I do NOT discriminate any brand I also LOVE scentsy, yankee candle, colonial candle, & I have a local vendor that I buy from :) I LOVE them all & am truly addicted to scented wax... But, who doesn't love for their home to smell fabulous???...........



As you can see I bought the warm rustic woods, calming lavender sunshine, pure white woods, warm comforting kitchen, iced carrot cake, & exotic sandalwood musk :) I took the pics using 2 of my warmers that I have... I do use all types of waxes in all my electric warmers & have had no issues although, I have heard that you aren't suppose to burn anything other than scentsy wax in the scentsy warmers because it can void the warranty, just wanted to put that disclaimer out there :) Thanks for stopping by & I hope you return (at least so I don't feel like I am talking to myself) lol...
